About Bethany
Warmth, clarity, and respect for the way your mind works.
I am Bethany Wybert, a licensed professional counselor serving adults and couples through telehealth across Missouri.
I am a Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than 10 years of clinical experience with adults and couples, including depression, anxiety, attachment, neurodivergence, relationship conflict, divorce, and trauma. I earned my M.Ed. in Licensed Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stephens College. I am currently a doctoral student at Liberty University studying Traumatology.
I do not start by deciding who is the problem. I start by listening for the pattern.

How I work
I do not begin by assuming one person is the problem.
I pay attention to the meaning beneath a reaction: what your nervous system is protecting, what your history has taught you to expect, and what gets lost when two people use different maps for the same moment.
Therapy with me is collaborative and direct. We can slow down enough to understand a pattern without staying stuck in analysis. The aim is not to perform wellness or become more acceptable to other people.
More about this
It is to build choices, language, and relationships that fit more honestly.

Education and experience
Clinical training grounded by lived experience.
I earned a BS in Christian Counseling from Central Christian College of the Bible and an M.Ed. in Licensed Professional Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Stephens College.
I am currently a doctoral student at Liberty University studying Traumatology. My work draws from continued study, clinical experience, and lived experience with the realities mixed-neurotype couples often bring into the room.
